Due to the pandemic, the European Championship was postponed for a year, but in 2021 a live pre-match ceremony took place in Rome. Filmmaster also managed to organize the Trophy Tour stop in Rome and a Fan Zone dedicated to sports and entertainment in the heart of the city, along with a spectacular videomapping on the Capitoline Hill.
The concept stems from the desire to convey a simple and highly inspiring message: only by pooling their energies can the cities and teams of UEFA EURO 2020 make the hearts of fans soar again.

Using 24 helium balloons as the main scenic element, he builds symbolic moments of great strength around the choreographic action: from the testimony of football legends to the presence of Italian institutions, from the representation of the spirit of competition between teams to the unity of purpose of all the countries involved, from the elegance of the Italian style to the richness of European musical culture.
Up to the magical moment in which the helium balloons, united on stage in a single bunch, lift a symbolic performer above the playing field, during the unforgettable performance of Andrea Bocelli's "Nessun Dorma", while the stadium lights up of pyro effects suitable for the show's daylight.
The Ceremony, broadcast in its entirety by 72 broadcasters in 61 countries and partially in another 11, with 151 million viewers worldwide, is increasingly becoming an integral part of the sporting event for UEFA.
The audience reach of the Ceremony was amplified by social channels: officials, artists and fans. Over 4 million views on YouTube only on the UEFA and Andrea Bocelli channels.
Finally, the success of the Ceremony was consecrated by the international trade and generalist press, including The Guardian, Tuttosport, la Repubblica, ESPN, etc.
An anticipation of being lifted up by the championship-winning national team on 11th July in London, the Henry Delaunay cup made its way through the streets of Rome over five extremely moving stages. From Piazza del Campidoglio, the trophy made its way to the nearby Colosseum. From there, on to Pincio Terrace, then Ponte Sant'Angelo, the emblem of the Roma Host City logo for EURO 2020, and finally to the Stadio Olimpico, the venue of the UEFA EURO 2020 Opening Ceremony and inaugural match between Italy and Turkey on 11th June 2021. A journey completed in the company of Skillzy, the official mascot of the European football championship.
A show of lights and sounds, with live musical performances, underlines the thoughts of the protagonist born in Italy 60 years ago and raised with the exploits of the Azzurri champions at the European Championships. The light show celebrates the most memorable matches and, with them, the life of each of us, bringing together sport, culture, and customs and focusing on the narrative power of sounds, lights, and colours.
The Live Shows on the main stage, hosted Italian music stars, including Annalisa, Irene Grandi, The Kolors, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, the Orchestra Roma Sinfonietta and the Teatro dell’Opera. The video mapping at Campidoglio and the Opening Ceremony in Piazza del Popolo kick-started the official Fan Zone programme. A food area with typical products were available to the public at the Pincio Terrace. An installation in one of the 4 Hot Spots along Via del Corso celebrated the 60-year history of Europe and football.
For sportspeople and football fans were broadcasted 51 live matches on the two giant screens, in addition to the public viewing at the Fori Imperiali, two 3-vs-3 soccer fields, a Playground Area to try Teqball and Foot Billiard, sponsored tournaments and dozens of foosball tables.
